a momentous day

I put in a cat adoption application and have a home visit scheduled for Sunday, for them to see my space and so I can meet this little lady. Who knew home visits were a thing for pets? But nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I am in love with her grumpy little face, I must say. Whether I'm really ready for all pet-ownership entails is another thing entirely. *gulps*

It really is! Just looking around for one I might want to have for years and years to come is such fun. Can't wait to have a little roommate around the place.

I've not been accepted yet by the rescue society, or met the cat to know if we'd get on well. But I'm definitely looking for a cat to adopt, and it's a lot of fun. :-)

Thanks! She's staying here for a few weeks to see if we get along. We are very much in the hiding under couches and in corners phase of things, so fingers continue to be crossed.
