Bilbo update

I got a tentative diagnosis for Bilbo yesterday. There's a treatment and we're doing it, but "success" sadly still means a short life, just not one ending in the next month; and even that's not a certainty given some other complications she has. I'm hanging in there. Thanks for all the well wishes; they help.

I know what a financial shock it is to have a pet in the hospital. If I can contribute a small something, please let me know.

I'll definitely let you know. Luckily I have insurance and they said in general they cover this kind of thing, though you never know 100%. Right now I'm expecting that to cover the majority of it but if I get stuck with a big bill I'll definitely take you up on it.

Mainly I need a place to quietly lay out what's going on, if only to say it's not okay in my own way. And it's nice to have other people see that too. I do hate just laying bad news out like this, but I do appreciate the space.

OMG, I'm a bit behind, and I'm SO sorry to hear this. Poor Bilbo and poor you! It's so difficult when the ones we love are ill, and this sounds serious. Like Shiremom, I'll be happy to help out with a small contribution to Bilbo's care after you get the bills and see what the insurance will actually cover for you. Pet insurance - it didn't exist when we had pets, but it sure is necessary now! *hugs*
